Learning Qi-Gong Shaolin monastery is made very difficult by the large number of exercises, there are more than three hundred. The monks have done a great job classification, publishing conventional assays, such as:
"The technique of the handful of Shaolin" was the Venerable monaco-Ju Song Dynasty and
"Qi-gong of Shaolin" Monaco Hong-He of the Ming Dynasty.
The Shaolin Qigong exercises have specific characteristics according to their purpose, and are divided into four categories:
jin-gong, dynamic exercises;
Zi-gong-fa-dong, spontaneous mobilization exercises of Qi;
Qi-lian, deep breathing exercises;
jin-tso, sitting meditation.
All these techniques of Qi-gong consist of:
elementary exercises,
static exercises,
exercises loading,
stretching exercises,
exercises to condition the muscles and tendons,
exercises induction energy in the internal organs,
and many others.
These exercises increase the flow of Qi and strengthen the tissues, muscles, tendons and bones.
The basic techniques of interest:
mental attitude,
respiration rate,
-
physical movements that facilitate the awakening and the circulation of Qi.
Advanced techniques include the six famous techniques of Qi-gong of Shaolin Temple:
Ba-duan-jin, the exercises of the "Eight Pieces of Brocade";
Yi-jin-jing, the twelve methods of great energy, or "Sutra of alternation of the tendons and muscles" (which combines power and flexibility);
Zuo-Chan, "sitting meditation";
Jin-gang-quan "fist boxing diamond" (vajra-fist);
Shaolin-rou-quan: "The soft-fist of Shaolin";
Xi-jing-on: "The process of cleaning the bone."
For best results, the execution of different exercises must take place in progressive sequence.
At the first level, practicing Qi-gong of the internal organs, charging energy the connective tissue of the organs and endocrine glands.
At the second level, practicing Qi-gong of alternation of the tendons, this exercise uses the mind to coordinate, expand and strengthen the tendons.
At the third level, practicing Qi-gong for cleaning the bone, because producing platelets and white blood cells, bones, helping to strengthen the immune system.
The aim of these exercises, however, is not only the improvement of their health, but the work participation profound and secret of many generations of Shaolin masters.
