. Method III Rou

The third method Rou, consists of three styles of soft Shaolin less known:

  • . Durante la sua esecuzione vengono recitati dal praticante particolari mantra che accompagnano e potenziano le tecniche corporee. 1) The first style is called "Boxing Great Mercy" gives-us-beautiful-Quan (Chinese: 大慈悲拳). Its long sequence, which is practiced with slow, controlled movements, is the key to the style and form has an interesting aspect is rarely seen: the recitation of mantras. During its execution are recited by practicing special mantras that accompany and enhance the body techniques. The "Boxing Great Mercy" has many similarities with styles Rou Quan, Ba-Gua (Chinese:八卦) and Xing-Yi Quan (Chinese:形意拳), and is very popular even outside the Shaolin Temple, especially in the Beijing region.

  • 2) The second style, Rou belonging to the third method, called Chan-yuan-gon g (Chinese: 禅圆功). The sequences of this style are simple therapeutic techniques performed in motion, breathing with the mouth open and walking with a light step. The key sequence contains many ancient techniques, variants of which are now part of the technical body of modern Taijiquan, for example, "Brush Knee" and "Cross Step". The style Chán-yuan-gong is therefore simple and easily obtained by anyone. Its practice by mental deterioration, bad mood, mental stress and balances the physiological system.

  • . 3) The third style, Rou belonging to the third method, called Liu-eh-Gong (Chinese: 六合功), the "Style Six Harmonies". This simple style is composed of horizontal and vertical movements of elongation of the energy meridians. The breathing is done with the mouth open, as described in the previous style and arm movements are ascending, descending, concentrating and radiating, circular and linear. The purpose of the style-eh-Liu-gong is the harmonization of three external elements: Wai -Saint-eh (Chinese:外三合):
  • hand Shǒu (Chinese:手) in harmony with the foot Jiǎo (Chinese:脚)
  • the elbow Zhǒu (Chinese:肘) Knee Xi (Chinese:膝) and
  • shoulder Jian (Chinese:肩) with the hip Yao (Chinese:腰)
  • and three internal elements In-san-eh (Chinese:内三合):
  • mind Xin (Chinese:心) in harmony with the intention Yi (Chinese:意)
  • Intention (Chinese: yi) with the internal energy Qi (Chinese:气) and
  • ch'i by force Jing (Chinese:精).

  • The three external harmonies relate solely to the physical level and relate to the structural connection (Chinese:合) between the system and the muscle-tendon-bone joint. The three internal harmonies instead concern the dimension of psycho-energetic and metaphysical. When we realize the six harmonies, develop awareness of the expression of diverse human strength in the six directions: up and down, right and left, forward and backward
