This material world is suffering: this is what the Buddha Himself pointed out in His First noble truth.

• Some suffering is Caused by Ourselves through the bad behavior, bad diet, bad relationships with others.

• More suffering is Caused by other Beings living as social pressure, poor relationships, aggression, illnesses Caused by viruses and microbes.

• More suffering is Caused by natural forces: earthquakes, famines, tsunamis

The causes of all this suffering is attachment to things of this world. Consequently, the detachment from the phenomenal is the way to end the suffering.

Buddha Gives us a method to learn detachment in His fourth noble truth: the eightfold path:

1-Right Understanding

5-Right Livelihoods
